Teresa Circe - Administrative Assistant
Teresa Circe is the Symphony's Administrative Assistant, and reports directly to our Board President. She joined the Symphony as staff in 2011, to help us meet our growing needs as we develop new projects and outreach. Ms. Circe coordinates activities and communication between our volunteer committees, board and executive group. She is also the person who answers your phone calls, emails, and inquiries by post!
Ms. Circe was born and raised in Humboldt County. She played flute for eight years in school, winning 1st chair and attending several honor bands. In high school, she directed a children's choir, and studied voice and guitar. Her favorite music at that time was jazz and pop music, and she sang in a small jazz choir her last two years of high school. Ms. Circe and two other youth from her church formed a trio they called Agape, which traveled to youth conferences and small revivals in Northern California singing gospel music.
Ms. Circe attended California Baptist College in Riverside, CA on a music scholarship, minoring in business. She returned to Humboldt, raised two children, and worked at Arcata High as Secretary to the Dean of Students. She now works in special education for the Humboldt County Office of Education, in addition to her contributions to the Symphony!
